Clinical Use of Brainspotting in Psychotherapy, Personal Coaching, and Performance Enhancement
Workshop Description:
Brainspotting (BSP) is a revolutionary new brain-based method for naturally healing trauma, various physical & emotional ailments, as well as expanding performance capacity and boosting creativity. This new method has made positive waves in the field of brain-based therapy, and in psychological health. Brainspotting can be an efficient treatment tool for healing a wide variety of psychological, emotional, and somatic conditions.
This workshop is designed to teach psychotherapists, school counselors, and art-therapists about the use of Brainspotting as applied to their clinical work.
Learning Objectives for Participants:
- Demonstrate a working understanding of what Brainspotting is, as well as when and how to use it in psychotherapy, and other forms of clinical work.
- Identify how Brainspotting can be applied to general client populations.
- Understand how utilizing Brainspotting differs from using EMDR.
- List four essential factors from case studies to determine if Brainspotting is a well chosen approach for clients who seek psychotherapy, personal coaching, or performance enhancement, etc.
